Is this suitable for complete beginners?
This studio time is designed for those ready to work independently. Ideally, you’ve completed our beginner class. If you’ve learned pottery elsewhere, we invite you to visit us for a chat and a cup of tea before booking.

How do I book?
Simply send us a message to arrange your session.

You can book a 3-hour block, for example:

10:00 am – 1:00 pm

6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Which pottery wheels are available?
We offer a selection of high-quality wheels, with a preference for traditional wooden kick wheels alongside electric options. All wheels were refurbished in January 2025.

4 × Kick Wheels (Made in NZ)

1 × Kerokuro Wheel (Made in Korea)

2 × Onggi Wheels (Made in Korea)

Do you sell clay?
No, you’ll need to bring your own clay. Please use stoneware clay or any clay with a firing range up to 1280°C. Local stores sell 10kg bags that work well. Contact us if you need recommendations.

Can I use the school’s glazes?
No, to maintain quality and consistency, we ask that you bring your own glazes.

Tools:
We provide a variety of pottery tools onsite for your use.

Firing:
We offer firing services for your work at a cost based on the size and number of pieces. Just ask us for details!
