Workshop Outline:

Introduction to the pottery kick-wheel.

Try handbuilding using sculpture tools and banding wheels to create unique forms!

Students are taught how to pull strap-handles and attach them.

Apply glaze to your work using our glazes which are made from natural minerals and plant ashes.

Learn about the onsite wood-fired kiln.

Pieces made on the day are then fired once they have dried.

Note: During the lesson students go outside and visit the wood-fired kiln. For this reason we recommend wearing sturdy footwear and warm clothing during winter.
